Margaret Garcia

Hello! My name is Margaret Garcia and I am a Latina researcher prioritizing studying the psychology and wellness of the Latinx community. I graduated from the University of California Merced, where I earned my B.A in Psychology and minor in political science within three years and was awarded high honors. As a first-generation Mexican American, I am proud to be able to do so, as I am the first woman in my entire family history to be able to pursue a degree in higher education. 

I created this site to highlight existing Latina-oriented research through comprehensible briefs to promote accessibility (also available on the @LatinaPsychology instagram page), showcasing organizations dedicated to the improvement of Latinx wellbeing, and to bring awareness to issues impacting the Latina/o/x/e community.
